Jul/Christmas 2011

I will start with the last post from my other blog. But anything after this will be new, I promise :)

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Hasn't really happened all that much lately.
November was a relaxing month. We spent Thanksgiving with some friends, and had a good time. Mostly we have had a calm couple of months watching my belly grow and feeling our baby move around and kick and be busy in there. It is a lot of fun. Sometimes my whole belly will be jumping around looking like jello :)

Btw, here are pictures of our baby girl from the last ultrasound at 31 weeks. Above you can see her face, which she is trying to hide behind one hand. Underneath you can see her umbilical cord right next to/in front of her face. She is getting so big. Oh, and she is sitting breech (head up, butt down) at the moment. But she still have a few weeks to turn around, the right way :)

December has been a nice month. It started with visitors from Norway. A friend, her sister and her cutest little niece (2 years old) was here for almost a week. We had a good time with lots of shopping, hanging out having fun and a trip to the hair dresser for the first time for the little girl. She did great and ended up with lots of little braids with cute beads on as well. She was adorable :)

Later in December we had the pleasure of enjoying "The Nutcracker"in aerial style. It was also a charity event. Some of my friends were performing in the silks, hoop and even a ballerina. They had a really great show! Here's a picture of them: (Aerial Amore)

We had a great time watching them, and enjoying dinner with them after the show. They made me really jealous, and I just wanted to get up in the silks. But as pregnant as I am, of course, I have to wait a few more months before I can get back into "my"silks.

Every year Ogden City has a "Christmas Village"(as seen part of above). As we checked it out on a Wednesday night we realized something was going on at the Amphitheatre there, and we got a great show. These cute little girls were dancing. They were adorable.

Then for Christmas this year we have my Sister visiting. That is so much fun. We haven't seen each other in forever, a few years!, so it is wonderful to have her here.
She arrived on Christmas Eve. We took a drive through downtown Salt Lake City to see the State Capitol Building and Temple Square.
When we got home we had "risgrøt"(porridge, made of mostly rice and milk) for dinner. We always used to have that for lunch on Christmas Eve growing up. But since it was already late we ended up having it for dinner instead :) Then we opened up some gifts that night, as Norwegian tradition say. For dessert later we had "riskrem", made from the porridge, cold mixed with cream and with sugar on top. It was great! We had a really good time, talking, laughing and sharing stories.
Christmas morning we got up, made a good breakfast, and opened the rest of the gifts.
We went out to watch a good movie at the theatre (We bought a zoo). And afterwards we walked through the Christmas Village. It was biting cold, but very pretty :)
At home we ate Christmas dinner. We had ham with rice and Bearnaise sauce, carrots, corn & bamboo shoots, and my sister replaced the ham with tofu (since she doesn't eat meat). It was really good food!!
We sat up late talking, we had lit candles all over the living room, and it was so cozy. I really enjoy having my sister here!

Here's me, the big belly and our tree on Christmas Eve, 33 weeks and 3 days pregnant:

That's about it for now. I'm gonna go enjoy my family and I promise to write again next year :)

New Blog Address

Hi everyone.

I changed my blog, so this is the place to look for all of my updates from now on. My previous blog is found here: ilr35m.blogspot.com

Hope everyone is still enjoying the Holiday season! I am! We have been having lots of fun, and been relaxing a lot, just being us. That is nice. Plus, since I am 8 months pregnant I get tired a little more often and sooner than I am used to.
The rest of the week we plan to do some shopping, sightseeing, but mostly relaxing :)

Have fun! Come back soon.

God Jul & Godt Nyttår
